Corvettes on eBay: #1 of 5 1993 Lister Corvette

Say hello to a 1993 Lister Corvette. Created by Lister North America back in the early nineties, this custom-bodied C4 Corvette was treated to upgrades both inside and out. Under the hood, the Chevy LT1 V8 was stroked to 383 cubic inches and a Vortech supercharger provides plenty of power. On the outside, custom body panels, Fikse wheels and an upgraded interior add to the package.

Back in the mid to late 1950’s, British-based Lister produced lightweight tubular framed sports cars that competed with Jaguar and Aston Martin. While earlier cars were powered by a D-Jag inline 6, in 1959 the Lister’s got themselves a redesigned aerodynamic aluminum bodies powered by Chevrolet V8 engines. These new Lister’s attempted to cash in on that the heritage, but the concept never took off and only 5 cars were produced.

This Lister offered has an interesting past as it was the first Corvette of the Lister series. Following the car’s debut at the 1993 Los Angeles International Auto Show, it then served as a development mule for Vortech superchargers where it graced the covers of several Corvette magazines.

The next owner took the Lister’s performance to the edge. The 5.7 liter LT-1 was stroked to 383 cubic inches and outfitted with Air Flow Research aluminum heads, Lunati forged steel reciprocating parts, Crane roller cam, Wiesco pistons, 58mm throttle body and on and on and on. Complementing the upgrades under the hood is a bevy of yellow and chrome trim. No-so complimentary is the faux side exhaust which in our opinion detracts from the appearance.

The Corvette has just over 7,000 miles on the clock and comes with a ton of documentation. Back in 2003, the car was featured at Barrett-Jackson where it traded hands for $54,000. Yesterday, the Corvette’s auction on eBay ended with a no-sale at $17,700. If you’re interested in this unique conversion, contact Viva Las Vegas Autos.
