[VIDEO] The '48 Hour Corvette' Hits the Track at the Corvette Museum's Motorsports Park

Patience is a virtue, except of course when it comes to fixing up your hot rod.

We who have restored old cars know we want everything done on our favorite ride…yesterday.

It usually doesn’t work out that way for the ordinary enthusiast, however, I’ve been working on my dad’s 1970 Impala for eight years and still don’t have it completely done.

[VIDEO] 1968 Corvette Gets the ACCEL IT Treatment at Hot Reno Nights

You could be the next lucky person to get a performance upgrade courtesy of ACCEL Performance Group.

ACCEL has just started a new show called ACCEL IT, and the first vehicle chosen after a lengthy search by host Jenny Long turned out to be a very cool 1968 Corvette convertible from the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions and Hot August Nights cruise in Reno, Nevada.

Last week the Corvette world was all a flutter over the news that the 1956 SR-2 Corvette Racecar – the first purpose-built Corvette racer built by Chevrolet – is being offered for sale.

The sale of the car is being handled by Corvette Mike Vietro for the tidy sum of $6.885 Million. To help support the sale of the car, Corvette Mike produced this video to show off the car and talk about its outstanding history.

The Corvette SR-2 Racer evokes an emotional response from everyone that sees it. At the time of it’s introduction it represented the highest level of automotive racing design and performance. This was the first General Motors “purpose-built” American Sports Racing Car from the Golden Era of Racing. The SR-2 was the combined spirit of two great men in Corvette History and culmination of many great things that were happening at GM in the early to mid-1950’s.

[VIDEO] Corvette Museum Now Offering a DVD Documentary on the SkyDome Sinkhole

The National Corvette Museum’s sinkhole which swallowed eight Corvettes earlier this year not only shook the Corvette Nation, it also captivated the world as replays of the floor dropping out from under the Corvettes reverberated throughout various national and international media outlets.

It could be argued that the worst thing to ever happen at the Corvette Museum was also the best thing that ever happened to the NCM. Stories of the sinkhole appeared on over 2,000 broadcast outlets and the publicity from the more than 7,300 tv and radio hits was valued at $15.4 million. And with all that media running, attendance levels spiked over 60% in the months that followed with onlookers who wanted to see the hole that ate the Corvettes.

[VIDEO] New vs Classic. C7 Corvette Stingray Compared to 1963 Corvette Sting Ray

Seems to me when the new vs old comparisons are made, the old classic always comes out on top.

Autotrader.com compares the brand new C7 Corvette Stingray to the original Corvette Sting Ray, the 1963 Split Window Corvette Coupe.

We’ve all seen that famous video where a Corvette Z06 overtakes a car on the autobahn at 200 mph. It looks like these guys down in “Mexico” attempted to recreate the scene to see how a 200 mph fly-by from a Corvette ZR1 would look to another car doing the speed limit down the highway.

[VIDEO] Hooning a C5 Corvette on a Dirt Road

by Keith Cornett on June 27, 2014

Via CorvetteVideos.TV

Burnouts, power slides and rocks. Lots of rocks. Hooning a Corvette on a dirt road is wrong on so many levels. The original uploader on YouTube jokes about driving the car like he stole it and after watching his careless disregard for the Corvette, I’m thinking that might be the case.

C5 Corvette on a dirt road. Haters gonna hate, but that’s how I do it! Drivin’ like I stole it (I did steal it! LOL)!

Left to right is Criswell Chevrolet’s GSM Jason Witte, Mike Furman, owner Harry Criswell and GM Kevin Szot

Long time national Corvette seller Mike Furman not only sells a lot of Corvettes (he’s currently over 3,100 and counting in his lifetime), but he has owned a lot of Corvettes personally as well. He recently sold his low mile 1992 Quasar Blue C4 to make room for another blue Corvette – a 2014 Corvette Stingray.

This will be Mike’s 14th Corvette that he has personally owned and as he told us, you can expect to see it – and him – on the road soon!
