[VIDEO] Allstate Returns a 1972 Corvette Stolen 43 Years Ago to its Original Owner

It was meant to be. How else can you describe it?

Terry Dietrich was born in 1953, the same year that the first Corvette rolled out of the factory.

That coincidence sparked a love affair for the Corvette that ultimately led to her decision as a 19-year-old to buy a brand new Corvette Stingray in 1972.

[STOLEN] Family's 1977 Corvette Stolen from Private Garage in Maryland

A piece of Charles Estelle’s life is missing.

Now, he’s just hoping someone out there will be able to help him bring his prized 1977 Corvette back home.

The orange Corvette, in the process of being restored and “probably about two months from being road ready,” according to Estelle, has been in his life since he was just 7 or 8 years old. That’s when his dad bought the car. Charles was so small, in fact, that he had to sit on a pillow back then just to see out the windows.

[STOLEN] 1965 Corvette Stingray Stolen from Usk, Washington

Be on the lookout for a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible that was stolen last week in Usk, Washington which is located north of Spokane.

The granddaughter of the owner has been posting about the stolen Corvette on Facebook and the Corvette Forum on behalf of her elderly grandfather so let’s hope someone spots the vehicle and it can be returned to its rightful owner.

The best news is that no one was injured Sunday when a man crashed a stolen red C7 convertible after leading police on a chase that reached speeds of 130 mph.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the Corvette Stingray, which suffered major front end damage after catching fire following the crash.

The three-county crime spree actually started with the suspect behind the wheel of a truck in Kendall County, Texas, but authorities say the man ditched that vehicle and stole the Stingray at gunpoint and started a house fire.

Corvette's Manual Transmission Outsmarts Two Car Thieves in California

A writer on Corvette Forum played an April Fool’s prank on his readers last week when he jokingly said that Chevy was doing away with manual transmissions starting in 2017.

Two would-be thieves in California probably wish that hoax was true.

Apparently the bumbling criminals tried to steal a Corvette convertible on Wednesday, but the guy behind the wheel didn’t know how to drive a stick and ended up backing the sports car into a set of mailboxes.

[VIDEO] Stolen Corvette Found after 43 Years but Legal Roadblocks Prevent Reunion with Owner

‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

A Georgia woman probably isn’t so sure about that old saying, especially after her heart may wind up being broken twice – but not by a man, but by a Corvette.

Our story begins in 1972 when a teenage Terry Dietrich of DeKalb County, Ga., bought a 1972 blue Corvette Stingray.

Back a few years ago, I was restoring my dad’s 1970 Impala and had taken it to a friend’s house to have the motor rebuilt.

The paint was rusty and the interior was musty, but I had splurged for $1,819 worth of new tires and wheels just to spruce up the old girl.

While my car was there, though, in the dark of night, out in the country of North Georgia, somebody jacked up the car and stole my tires and wheels, leaving the first car I ever drove by myself (at age 16) sitting on top of concrete blocks.

I thought that was a depressing sight.

But then I saw this posting on Corvette7 and changed my mind.
