Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Week of August 1st

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

Mike is delivering new Corvettes like crazy right now and we’re seeing some very neat combinations like a 2016 Laguna Blue Stingray with the EFY Blue Vents. A couple trade-ins make the deal happen: A Mustang owner upgrades to a 2016 Stingray while a modded 2014 Stingray with an Edelbrock supercharger is turned in for a 2016 Corvette Z06.

Today was a fun day for Corvette Racing driver Oliver Gavin. This morning he sent out a cryptic tweet suggesting something special was on the way. And when that special something finally arrived, even the rainy weather in the Englishman’s home town of Yardley Hastings couldn’t dampen his spirits when he saw his Arctic White Corvette Stingray Z51 for the first time.

Corvette Beats Porsche to Win J.D. Power's 2015 APEAL Study

I finally took the plunge and test-drove a C7 Corvette last weekend.

My brief five minutes behind the wheel of a seven-speed Torch Red Z51 Coupe made me an instant believer in all the hoopla about Chevrolet’s latest generation of America’s Sports Car.

Going from the first year of the fifth generation (I have a 1997 Torch Red Coupe) to the first year of the seventh generation in one day showed me just how much the car has been improved, not that the C5 is a bad car by any means, though.

[ACCIDENT] Walk Around of a C7 Corvette Stingray Hit by a Drunk Driver

If there is any behavior behind the wheel of an automotive that is the scourge of our society, it’s the practice of driving while intoxicated. We’ve share more than few stories of Corvettes being hit by drunk drivers along with the damage caused by owners who were behind the wheel of their Corvettes when they shouldn’t have been.

The amount of lives and property damage that could be saved by simply handing the keys to someone else is staggering with some estimates of the costs of driving drunk ranging to more than 10,000 lives and $130+ billion each year.

So with that being said, we are sharing this video of a Corvette owner walking around and checking out the damage to his car after it was recently hit by a drunk driver.

Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Week of July 5th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

In this week’s dispatch, Mike gets to check out Donald Trump’s new $500,000 limo which was on the same Plycon auto transport as the Stingray going to one of his customers. A previous customer trades a black 2015 base Stingray for a Shark Gray 2015 Z51 Stingray coupe with some additional options, and another customer gets a first look at his new Corvette while its traveling down the production line in Bowling Green.

Final 2015 Corvette Production Statistics

The second year of C7 Corvette production ended almost two weeks ago and thanks to our friends at the National Corvette Museum, we already have a breakdown of the final 2015 Corvette production statistics.

For the 2015 model year, Chevrolet build 34,240 Corvettes. Production decreased 8% from the 37,288 Corvette Stingrays built during the C7’s inaugural year, but we’ve been told that the production cycle for the 2014 model year was slightly longer than 2015.

Leading the production was the 2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe. GM built 20,757 Stingray Coupes which accounted for 60.6% of Corvette production. The Z06 Coupe was second with 6,980 built for a 20.4% share. The Corvette Stingray Convertible’s production was 4,830 for 14.1% and finally the Corvette Z06 Convertible total was 1,673 for 4.9%.

Raffle of 2015 C7 Corvette Stingray to Benefit Patty Pollatos Fund

Buying a chance to win a brand new 2015 C7 Corvette Stingray coupe and at the same time helping some folks who have hit a few bumps in their lives seems like a worthwhile investment to us, even if you don’t win. All of the proceeds from the raffle of the Stingray, from Criswell Chevrolet, home of Corvette mega-salesman Mike Furman, will go to the Patty Pollatos Fund, an all-volunteer, non-profit charity in Frederick County, Maryland.
