Earlier this month we learned the 2014 Corvette Stingray would be pacing the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 and now we know who will be driving the Laguna Blue Stingray. Jim Harbaugh, coach of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers has been named the official pace car driver and will lead the 33 Indy Cars and their drivers to the Green Flag this Sunday afternoon.

No more will you be seeing auto transports rolling down the road filled with colorful Corvettes from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. GM will be transporting the new 2014 Corvette Stingrays to dealers with a special new cover to help protect the new cars as they are in transit.
Our friend Adam Boca is at the Lone Star Classic Corvette show on behalf of the NCM Insurance Agency and the National Corvette Museum. Earlier today he tweeted that a Lime Rock Green C7 Corvette would be making an appearance at the Corvette show. And now we see that the first video showing the newest green Stingray has been uploaded to facebook.
Yesterday, news that the 2014 Corvette Stingray was spied on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier during filming on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. broke wide open. We brought you some video of the film shoot yesterday but thanks to professional photographer Glyn Lowe Photoworks who was on the scene during the filming, we’ve got a nice little gallery of new photos to share with you.
Jalopnik found this video showing the filming in Washington D.C. of the latest Marvel Comic’s Avengers series, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In the video, we see a Black 2014 Corvette Stingray pull up and actor Chris Evans aka Captain America walks down the sidewalk and stops at the passenger side door.

MotorTrend.com is reporting that two Stingrays have been captured by KGP Photography cameras on the road with a Ferrari 458 Italia, an Audi R8 V10 convertible, a McLaren MP4-12C, and a Porsche 911 Carrera S.
We saw the spy photos earlier this week of the Corvette Stingray working out at Milford and now Chevy has made it official with the announcement that the 2014 Corvette Stingray will serve as the official pace car at the 97th running of the Indianapols 500. The “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” happens on Sunday, May 26th.
