[PICS] 2015 Corvette Z06 Photoshopped and LT4 Engine Photo Leaked

With the news that Chevrolet will be introducing the 2015 Corvette Z06 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month, speculation about the car’s details have ramped up from whispers to a dull roar. Leading the rumor mill over the last two days is this photoshop of a C7 Corvette Z06 which was reportedly done by a Corvette Forum member, as well as a leaked photo allegedly showing the performance car’s new supercharged engine dubbed the LT4.

Chevy hasn’t been forthcoming about what, if any, tricks are up its sleeve to increase the horsepower in future renditions of the C7.

We’ve been left to hope that the much beloved Z06 and ZR1 will live on in the new generation of the Corvette.

Now comes a little more hope for at least a ZR1, thanks to a photo taken by Car and Driver as the Stingray convertible prepared to make its debut in Geneva this week. The magazine reports that a close examination of photos after returning to the office reveals a PSI gauge in the instrument cluster of the subject convertible that is similar to the one in the current supercharged C6 ZR1.

2014 Camaro to get the Corvette Z06's LS7 V8 Engine?

We know that for the 2014 model year, the high performance LS engines are going bye-bye for Corvette and in their place will be the new Generation 5 LT1 V8s. But that doesn’t mean GM is going to stop building the LS7 and LS9 engines for other applications. Thanks to some sleuthing at Camaro5.com, it does look like Chevrolet is planning on using the 505 hp LS7 engine for the 2014 Camaro.
