Listen to the sound of this Stingray as it makes its way through a car meet-up and then onto the streets.

Riding around in our friend Stangkilr’s C7 Corvette with a new F1 A Procharger kit, the pressure relief valve is LOUD AS HELL so we were driving around showing off a little, it’s hard not to smile the entire time you’re driving this thing!

As long as there are BMWs and Corvettes, there will be ceaseless arguments over which car is the best.

For years, the M3 was considered by many to be head and shoulders above the Corvette, but as Automobile Magazine points out in this video, the new 2014 Stingray can now stand proudly with the latest version of the M3, now called the M4 in the two-door version to differentiate it from the M3 sedans.

John Hennessey discusses & test drives the HPE700 Supercharged C7 Corvette.

The HPE 700 is powered by a TVS supercharger with 7 lbs of boost. The Corvette puts down over 600 horsepower to the wheels and overall horsepower is measured at 707.

The arctic white sports car also features Hennessey’s carbon fiber splitter and aero rocker panels. The custom wheels on the car not only look good, but they save around 17 pounds over the stock alloys.

Hennessey then takes the Corvette Stingray out to his test track and puts the angry-sounding C7 through its paces before finishing with a massive burnout.

Here’s a great review of the 1967 Corvette Sting Ray (and a healthy dose of classic Corvette history) from XCAR:

The C2 Corvette was the first to have the Stingray name (or Sting Ray as it was then). We take a pristine 1967 model out for a spin to see why it was the car of choice for the coolest men on the planet.

I am sure you’ve played this highly subjective game before with one of your Corvette friends: Old school vs new school. It’s tough enough to judge two different Corvettes from the same year, but what happens when they are separated by over 45 years? Watch the video and tell us in the comments which way you would go!

This week on Generation Gap, Matt and Davin face a tough decision between the undeniable classic style and rarity of the 1963 Split Window Corvette and the modern convenience and power of the 2007 Corvette Z06. Which would you choose?

Top Gear: Corvette Stingray vs Porsche 911

by Steve Burns on April 18, 2014

Top Gear: Corvette Stingray v. Porsche 911

Top Gear Magazine recently got their hands on a 2014 Corvette Stingray and pitted it against its benchmarking target, the Porsche 911. They drove the cars throughout the UK countryside measuring the cars’ interiors, styling, and road manners against each other. If you follow the UK version of Top Gear you know they were luke-warm on the C6 Corvette. They loved the American V8 power, but lamented the transverse leaf spring suspension and even referred to the rear cargo cover as shower curtain.

[VIDEO] Despite Criticisms, British Magazine Still Likes the Corvette Stingray

Well, nobody’s perfect – not even the highly acclaimed 2014 Corvette Stingray.

At least in the eyes of one European auto journalist, Jethro Bovingdon, who seems to have mixed emotions about the seventh-generation Corvette in his video post test for EVO magazine.

[VIDEO] The Corvette Stingray Takes On Europe's Best Cars

It doesn’t come with a trophy, but the new Corvette Stingray can still feel pretty good about itself after earning some pretty high praise from the folks at Autocar.co.uk.

“As car enthusiasts, we love the new Corvette Stingray,” says Autocar’s Steve Sutcliffe. “We think so much of it, in fact, that we’ve lined it up here beside the very best sports cars that Europe can offer, each of which has been handpicked to gauge just how good the new seventh-generation Corvette has become.”
