Before Power Wheels, There Was the Kiddie Corvette

We’ve featured the Power Wheels Corvette Stingray several times so we thought this great picture from The Petersen’s CarStories.com would be of interest to the “older kids”.

For those people who were young kids in the 1950s, being the proud owner of this Kiddie Corvette would surely have been a big thrill.

General Motors, in the midst of promoting its products in a big way in the mid-1950s, commissioned the Eska Company of Dubuque, Iowa to manufacture a one-third size pedal car of the 1956 Corvette, which had just been redesigned for the first time.

[PIC] Custom Corvette Stingray and Two Matching Power Wheels for the Kids

Start them young and kids will become Corvette fans for life!

We saw this posted by our friend Rick Corvette Conti and asked if we could share it.

We just love this photo of the customized Corvette Stingray with two matching power wheels at a car show. The Stingray is detailed with full length body stripes and there is a touch of red accent on the quarter panel vents. Those details are also shown on the Power Wheels which also have matching ‘Stingray’ windshield banners.

If you start your kids off right and provide the right motivation, they will always have fond memories of the car. Who knows, these two young Corvette enthusiasts might end up owning the new C9 Corvettes sometime in the distant future.

Fisher-Price’s Corvette Stingray power wheels is just about the best future customer acquition tool that’s ever been made.

Corvette Museum Hosts a Museum Delivery for a Four-Year-Old's Corvette Power Wheels

Taking delivery of a new Corvette Stingray through the National Corvette Museum’s R8C Delivery Program can be a very memorable experience. We’ve seen grown men act like kids in a candy shop as they are handed the keys to their new rides. And speaking of kids, the Museum just hosted one of the cutest new Corvette deliveries we’ve seen that is guaranteed to turn a kid into a Corvette fan for life.
