[VIDEO] Corvette Racing's Video Series: Episode 1 - Paddle Shifter Testing at Road Atlanta

Corvette Racing broke new ground last year with their Track to Street video series that chronicled the 2010 ALMS and 24 Hours of Le Mans campaigns. The series focused on everything from individual race results to the racing technology that is transferred to the regular production Corvettes (hence the name Track to Street). So it is good news for Corvette fans that GM Racing is continuing the series for the 2011 season which according to our watch, started the day after the #4 Corvette’s dramatic win at Petit Le Mans last October.

[POLL] Do you Approve of Corvette Racing's 2011 Livery

Every year, Corvette Racing refreshes the design of the factory C6.Rs for the upcoming season. Some recent notables include the Jake Scrape and the reverse B-Pillar Jakes at Monterey. Fans, bored to death during the off-season, cite the annual unveiling of the livery as one of the things they look forward to. So yesterday’s sighting of the new 2011 Corvette Racing livery at the Sebring 2-day test burned up and down the intertubes and feedback is coming in. What we want to know from you is, do you approve?

Corvette Racing's Gavin to Race in Grand-Am in 2011

It appears that Oliver Gavin will have a couple of rides in 2011, assuming that he maintains his seat with Corvette Racing in the American Le Mans Series. Olly announced that he will be racing in the Grand Am/Rolex Series with Banner Racing’s Chevrolet Camaro. Gavin will share the No. 07 The Cool TV Camaro with Gunter Schaldach for the seven round series. Where the calendar conflicts with the ALMS, the C6.R driver expects ALMS races to take precedence.

Here’s a quick clip of the new Corvette C6.R chassis testing at Sebring on Monday. The matte black Compuware Corvette was joined on the track with the #3 Corvette C6.R. See photos and a couple more short videos on photobucket.

From Oliver Gavin’s Facebook page:
