New York Auto Show
Our new best friend Gene Sanchez Leeds was in New York for the auto show and has given us permission to share his photos. We picked a set of 50 images featuring both new models of the 2015 Corvette Z06. But what you see here is only the tip of the iceberg as he has posted over 125 Corvette images on the Corvette Forum.
Looking for a cool way to help introduce the new 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible, Chevrolet turned to three college student photographers from the New York area and gave them the opportunity to shoot the new drop-top supercar before its reveal. Now Chevrolet wants your help by voting for the student who best captured the Z06 Convertible and will reward the winner who ges the most votes with $5,000.
With the introduction of the new 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible with an estimated 625 horsepower, Chevrolet has once again cemented its reputation as the performance car leader. The Bowtie now has 14 performance cars available in 2015, including four distinct Corvette models, nine Camaros and the SS Sedan.
Here is the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible. It’s one of the most capable drop-tops on the market and Chevy says it the most powerful convertible ever produced by the company.
Chevrolet planned to reveal it on Monday at the New York International Auto Show but apparently images of any new Corvette model are too hot to handle and as such, they were leaked earlier today.
The Z06 Convertible features everything you love about the C7 Z06 Coupe that was introduced in Detroit at NAIAS including the supercharged Gen 5 LT4 V8 with 625+ horsepower and 635+ lb-ft of torque at your disposal.
Last week we attended the New York Auto Show and were able to see the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. It made its American debut wearing Night Race Blue with the 3LT Brownstone interior. While We were very impressed by the new convertible model and its distinct “Corvette” profile, it was the interior that had us wagging our tongues. If you were impressed by the previous C7 interiors you’ve seen, the 3LT Brownstone redefines the standard of luxury available on the new Corvette.
On Wednesday afternoon at the 2013 New York Auto Show, Chevrolet held its press conference to show off its new performance car lineup. As the crowd of journalists crowded into the North Hall of the Javits Center, we figured something special was in progress when Chevy reps started handing out ear plugs.
The presentation got started with a very loud video showing highlights of Chevrolet racing on the bowtie jumbo-tron. With the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe positioned in the middle of the stage under the bowtie, GM’s North American President Mark Reuss addressed the crowd.
