About three years ago the team at Heartland Customs approached the National Corvette Museum about their Specvette custom Corvette program. Each Specvette takes a classic C1, C2, or C3 Corvette and treats it to a full makeover incorporating all the modern bits from a late model C6. Last weekend at the NCM Bash they unveiled Specvette #1, a stunning 1958 packing a 7 liter LS7 under the hood.

Motor Trend’s Roadkill Ep 27 features a 1975 Corvette and the Corvette Museum’s Sinkhole.
Chevy runs deep! This time Freiburger and Finnegan find out just how deep as they visit the infamous sinkhole that opened up inside the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. To do it Roadkill style, the guys find the worst Corvette they can buy, get it running after sitting for six years, break auto parts, experience gators firsthand, and visit the Corvette assembly plant. Finally, they try and convince the Corvette Museum to let them leave their ’75 Stingray behind…inside the sinkhole.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it.
That might be the motto for Callaway’s third generation supercharger system that was officially unveiled a couple weeks back at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky.
Last weekend’s Bash at the National Corvette Museum provided the perfect opportunity to assemble our latest edition of Corvette vanity plates. We love wandering the parking lots and show fields at any event to check out what Corvette owners have chosen to adorn their rides with. As usual, we weren’t disappointed by what we found.
Each year the Bash kick starts the National Corvette Museum’s car show season. The Bash provides attendees the opportunity to view Corvettes from the upcoming model year, attend various seminars and road tours, as well as meet with members of GM’s Corvette team. Our wrap up and photos from this year’s NCM Bash await you just after the break.

You saw it at the NCM Bash, Now hear the 2015 Z06 Convertible exhaust note! The Blade Silver Z06 drop-top was being loaded up for transport to destinations unknown and lucky for us we have friends who captured the glorious roar of the LT4 as it moved out of the conference center and onto the truck.
Thanks for the video, Adam!
The NCM Bash celebrating the new Corvette models took on an international flavor Friday with the announcement that Michelin will be first official sponsor of the NCM Motorsports Park. The three-year agreement names Michelin as the official tire of the NCM Motorsports Park and provides the company with product privileges and displays at both the Museum and the Park.
Michelin will also serve as the presenting sponsor for three events to be held at the NCM and the Motorsports Park during the term of the contract.
The sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum has been covered extensively by reporters from around the world.
But a CNN.com report out last week has some new information that we haven’t heard before.
CNN interviewed renowned Corvette artist Dana Forrester, who’s also lead Corvette restoration member of the museum’s board of directors, and he has some interesting ideas about what to do with the sinkhole.
Today at the National Corvette Museum’s Bash, Chevrolet introduced two new design packages for the 2015 Corvette. If they look familiar, it’s because you first saw them at the SEMA show last fall in Las Vegas. The Atlantic is a luxury-GT styled convertible while the Pacific is a track-focused performance coupe.
Of course, CORSA performance exhaust systems and air intake kits for C4, C5, and C6 models have been a popular aftermarket item for Corvette enthusiasts for years.
Now, CORSA’s products will be offered in the National Corvette Museum’s Corvette Store, and museum members will get a 10 to 15 percent discount, based on their membership level, on all retail items, including CORSA items.
