Corvette ZR-1 Featured at Mercury Marine Museum

When we think of Corvettes, we naturally think first of the National Corvette Museum.

But that’s not the only place you’ll find rare Corvettes on display.

Mercury Marine – which built the 5.7-liter, 375-hp LT5 engine that powered the legendary C4 ZR-1 in the late 1980s and early 1990s – marked its 75th anniversary with the opening of a museum in Fond du Lac, Wis.

Naturally, that museum features a prime example of the ZR-1 Corvette, done in a sinister black with its hood up to show off the LT5 engine.

How well are sales going for the new 2010 Corvette Grand Sport? “Over half of the coupes and three-quarters of the Convertibles are being ordered as Grand Sports” said Harlan Charles, Corvette Product Marketing Manager for GM. [VIDEO] Corvette Tour Delivery Options

Thousands of people each year come to the Chevrolet Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky & the nearby Corvette National Museum to get an inside look at the great American sports car.

Corvette owners can actually watch their vehicle in the process of being built and document its progress as it moves along the line. In many cases, the new owner can actually be the very first person to start it up!

Corvettes = Pride. From the company to the assembly workers to the owners taking delivery. This is where quality starts.
