On a recent installment of his Jay Leno’s Garage, the words “amazing” and “exciting” and “beautiful” are heard frequently as he and designer Ed Welburn do a walk-around inside and outside the car at Brown’s Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Ariz.

We can all take a trip down Memory Lane with “car guy” Jay Leno of The Tonight Show and Ed Welburn, vice president of design for General Motors, during an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage.
With Corvettes definitely in the news these days because of the impending unveiling of the C7, GM decided to throw a little fuel on the fire and send four of their most important cars in the General Motors Heritage Center collection to Leno’s garage for The Tonight Show host to drool over.

Jay Leno took his C5 Corvette Z06 for a spin the other day without ever leaving the confines of his garage. How’d he do that, you ask? He invited the gurus from Drag Tag Simulations to Jay Leno’s Garage who set up a virtual driving environment that is part dyno, part video game. With his Yellow Corvette Z06 strapped to the platform, Jay was able to cruise the virtual streets and even got in some quarter mile runs. Check out the video after the jump.

The Rossi SixtySix and its designer David R paid a visit to Jay Leno’s garage for some quality time with the late night host. Longtime readers of CorvetteBlogger know of our affection for the retro-looking rebodied C6 that the Rossi SixtySix inspires. But now the SixtySix’s first real test comes from a passionate Corvette enthusiast whose collection focuses more on later model performance than classic midyear fiberglass.
