Although our factory Corvette C6.Rs have the weekend off, we’ll be watching the Nurburgring 24 hour race with Jan Magnussen, Tommy Milner and Richard Westbrook who’ve teamed up with Daniel Keilwitz, winner of the 2010 FIA GT3 Drivers Championship, to drive this gold GT3 Z06R #90 Callaway Corvette for Haribo.

Gavin and Milner Score Consecutive GT Victories; Magnussen and Garcia Take Second in Six-Hour Race
MONTEREY, Calif., May 12, 2012 – Corvette Racing broke its victory drought at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in convincing fashion today, sweeping the fiercely competitive GT class with a one-two finish in the six-hour American Le Mans Series Monterey. It was the team’s first victory at the central California circuit since a win in the GT1 class in 2008, and its first one-two finish since moving to the GT class in 2009.
Last weekend’s 12 Hours of Sebring proved once again that anything can happen as the deciding moments came down to the final laps. Now that everyone has had a chance to post their race recaps as well as upload their photos and videos, we bring to you our final Sebring news roundup.
After a long day of testing and working through the various setups and changes on the Corvette C6.Rs at the Sebring Winter Test session, the six drivers returned to the track after dark for the annual team picture photo shoot. Check out the gallery after the jump which also features some of the on-track action from earlier in the day.

Corvette Racing today announced their full roster of drivers for the 2012 season. Returning to the familiar confines of the Corvette C6.R’s are Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen, Tommy Milner, Richard Westbrook and Antonio Garcia. As has been widely speculated, Olivier Beretta’s full time seat in the No 3 Corvette C6.R will now be occupied by Antonio Garcia, who has been serving as one of two endurance drivers since 2009. New to the roster is 20 year old American driver Jordan Taylor who will take over the endurance driver duties at Sebring, Le Mans and Petit Le Mans.

BRASELTON, Ga., Oct. 1, 2011 – After nine hours and 35 minutes of intense competition, Corvette Racing finished fourth in the GT class in Petit Le Mans, the season finale of the American Le Mans Series. The No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R driven by Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen, and Richard Westbrook completed 366 laps around the 2.54-mile Road Atlanta circuit en route to its fourth-place finish. The No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R of Olivier Beretta, Tommy Milner, and Antonio Garcia retired after 76 laps with a broken gearbox and finished 17th in the GT category. The voting ended Sunday night for the American Le Mans Series “From the Fans” award and as you may know, we were pushing Corvette Racing pretty hard. Now it’s time for us to make a similar push for Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen, drivers of the #4 Corvette C6.R who were nominated for the prestigious Most Popular Driver award.
One of the benefits of the American Le Mans Series new television deal with ESPN is the ability to watch previous races and qualifying sessions from the ALMS video archive. Having missed Friday’s live ESPN3 feed, I pulled up a replay of the practice/qualifying session for the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix and came across a couple of segments worth sharing.
