Two legends in the Corvette world with a long personal relationship announced today that their companies will be joining forces to create limited edition products and offer unique experiences behind the wheel of high performance vehicles.
This year was pretty remarkable for us here at CorvetteBlogger. Not only do we get to talk and write everyday about America’s favorite sports car – the Chevrolet Corvette – but occasionally we get to drive the new Corvettes on a race track as well!
After having the unique opportunity to drive a 2015 Corvette Stingray on GM’s Milford Road Course earlier in the year, I realized my skill level at driving the Corvette fast on the track was not something I was real comfortable with, so I took up an offer to attend a two-day Level 1 driving course at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada.
Here’s some great news for C7 Corvette owners who want to experience the full capabilities of the 7th generation sports car in a safe environment.
Chevrolet and the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch are offering a special two day program for $1,000 for new 2014 Corvette Stingray owners – a discount of $1,500 off the rate for the standard program.
As a scorching Corvette ZR1 roars around a turn in the background, automobile expert Matt Farah of the Attack of the Show asks viewers on the Web if they’d like to drive that.
“I can’t but I’d sure as hell like to,” Farah says. “Today that’s what we’re gonna do.”
Want to give the ultimate Christmas gift this year? Then consider giving your Corvette fanatic (our yourself!) a gift certificate to Bondurant’s School of High Performance Driving. Gift certificates are good for driving and karting courses as well as Bondurant merchandise. The best news is that you can save up to 25% on all gift certificates though December 31st. Want to see what there is to do at Bondurant? Check out the video after the jump and then call 800-842-RACE to make your plans.
Continuing our informal series on all the cool production and delivery experiences available to new Corvette buyers, let’s pretend you just bought yourself a Corvette ZR1, the fastest and most exciting car ever produced by General Motors. Before you start flogging the 638-hp supercharged King of Hill around your neighborhood, take advantage of the free track time and driving instruction offered by Bondurant and Spring Hill. Ron Fellows, Corvette Racing Ambassador and head of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving Academy at Spring Hill properly demonstrates how to wring every bit of performance out a Corvette ZR1 in this video after the jump.
