When the doors opened to the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit last week, visitors to the Chevrolet area were greeted with an all new display featuring six 20 foot tall transparent screens that told the stories about the cars, trucks and crossovers through video and coordinated LED lighting and music.
Chevrolet lifted the skirt Monday on the next iteration of the legendary Corvette Z06 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Bowing in early 2015, the C7 will pack an estimated 625hp and 635 ft-lbs of torque from its supercharged 6.2L LT4 power plant. This morning the all new Corvette C7.R race car was introduced to the public alongside the street version of the 2015 Corvette Z06 at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.

Watch the reveal of the 2015 Corvette Z06 and the all-new C7.R racecar live from the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The video live-stream begins at 9:30 am ET with a “special event” and then the reveal of the two new Corvettes happens at the Chevrolet press conference at 10:00 am ET.
Despite Chevrolet’s best attempts to keep the lid on the 2015 Corvette Z06 until the official reveal on Monday morning at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, the cat is now out of the bag after a Jalopnik reader goes sleuthing for the images and finds them courtesy of a Google image search on another automotive news site.
Good news for those who can’t attend the unveiling of the 2015 Corvette Z06 and Corvette Racing’s C7.R at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.
Chevrolet has announced this morning that it will offer a special live stream of the unveiling as well as as a “special event leading up to the Press Conference” on January 13th beginning at 9:30 am EST.
Well, the moment Corvette enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting is nearly here.
Chevrolet announced today that the 2015 Corvette Z06 will be unveiled to the public in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the same place where the 2014 Corvette Stingray first saw the light of day a year earlier.
NAIAS C7 Reveal

That’s what WAS listed on the National Corvette Museum’s Preliminary Events Calendar for 2013 last week. The Corvette Blog’s Bill Connell spied that date on the calendar and wrote about the NAIAS C7 reveal last Friday. However, after checking the NCM’s website again this morning, the NAIAS event has been scrubbed from the calendar.
