End of an Era: The Last C6 Corvette Rolls Off the Production Line in Bowling Green

Early Thursday morning just after 8 am, an Arctic White 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible rolled off the assembly line at Bowling Green’s Corvette Assembly Plant. Not only was it the final Corvette of the 2013 model year, but it was also the very last C6 Corvette made.

GM Performance Build Center Moving to Bowling Green

General Motors has announced that they will be moving their Performance Build Center from its current home in Wixom, MI to the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Ky. The low-volume production facility currently hand assembles all of the dry sump motors (LS7, LS9, and LS3 with manual tranny) for Corvettes. Previously, they also produced the powerplants for the Cadillac STS-V and XLR-V.

Corvette Assembly Plant to Add 170 Temporary Workers for C7 Corvette Launch

It isn’t even here yet, but the C7 Corvette continues to stimulate the economy.

Corvette Assembly Plant Manager Dave Tatman announced this week that the GM plant in Bowling Green, Ky., will be hiring 170 workers for periods ranging from four to 18 months.

GM Gives Official Nod to Adam's Premium Car Care Products for 2013 Corvette and Camaro

One of the hardest working vendors you will see at a major Corvette show are the guys from Adam’s Premium Car Care Products. Every time we walked by their booth at Corvettes at Carlisle, they had a different Corvette parked in front and several detailers hard at work demonstrating Adam’s products to the assembled crowds.

We caught up with Adam Pitale, founder and President of Adam’s, who was very excited to tell us about their exclusive line of car care products branded and endorsed by GM for the Corvette and Camaro. So we tagged along and had the opportunity to see some of them demonstrated to members of GM’s Corvette Team.
