[PICS] This Corvette Stingray with a Steampunk Engine Bay is a Real Time Traveler

If you’re in the Houston area and have done a couple of Corvette shows, you have probably seen Steve and Lou Ann Pond’s bright yellow 2007 C6 known as the “Tweety Bird” Corvette.

Like a lot of us, Steve has been fallen for the new C7. So with a new Corvette Stingray in the garage, the show car designer set about to transform the White and Red Corvette into a show car in its own right.

[PICS] Revorix Makes a Splash with its Corvette Stingray at SEMA

One of the custom Corvettes we were anxious to see in person at the SEMA show comes from a new player in the Corvette aftermarket. Revorix is a new company that has deep roots in Japan and now they have set their sights on America. For the SEMA Show, they brought a 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible to showcase their new product line of functional aerodynamic parts for America’s favorite sports car.

Corvette Sales Spotlight: Another Custom Corvette Stingray from Purifoy Chevrolet

One reason why we like our friends at Purifoy Chevrolet in Fort, Lupton, Colorado so much is that they are not afraid to shake up conventional wisdom by creating and selling their own custom Corvettes.

Those custom Corvettes fall under the “P-Series” designation at Purifoy and those in the know will know that these are not ordinary vettes.

Now there is a new “P-Series” Corvette available from Purifoy and it’s like no Stingray you’ve seen offered before from a Chevrolet dealership.

[PICS] The Corvettes at the 2014 SEMA Show

Ever since attending our first SEMA show, we’ve been hooked. And it’s not hard to see why either. There’s a ton of Corvette eye candy waiting to be seen with a different take on the car at just about every booth. Then tie in the cool new Corvette-related products, hot booth girls and the excitement of Las Vegas and that just about sums up what SEMA is all about.

Armed with our trusty Canon DSLR, we went hunting for Corvettes at the 2014 SEMA show and by our count, came up nearly 70 different cars ranging from a 1958 restomod to the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible.

[VIDEO] Is This Unique C6 Corvette a Saleen Prototype?

Could this video show what apparently could turn out to be the first Saleen Corvette ever?

An enthusiast in Los Angeles spotted this unusual-looking car and followed it to see if he could find out more about it.

Lo and behold, Steve Saleen – yes, apparently that one – turned out to be behind the wheel and told the inquisitor that the car was a Corvette-based prototype.
