It is the second-to-last round of the TUDOR Championship and the race for the Championship is tighter than ever!
As Corvette Racing prepares a 3rd Corvette C7.R race car for the FIA’s World Endurance Championship at Circuit of The America’s next weekend in Texas, much of the speculation from fans has been focused on the livery and number the car will be wearing.
Sportscar365.com reports that the Corvette C7.R will be wearing Corvette Racing’s familiar Velocity Yellow and Black livery branded with the logos of Konica Minolta and Michelin Tires as sponsors. The C7.R will also be sporting the number 65 in the GTE-Pro class.
DETROIT (Aug. 8, 2014) – Corvette Racing will field a Chevrolet Corvette C7.R in the Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas on Saturday, Sept. 20 in the only race for the FIA World Endurance Championship in the U.S. The Corvette C7.R entry will have a distinctive American flavor with Tommy Milner, Jordan Taylor and Ricky Taylor teaming in the GTE Pro class at the venue in Austin, Texas.

Team makes massive gains from practice to qualifying on damp day in Texas

The two Compuware Chevrolet Corvette C6.Rs earned the second- and third-place starting spots in the GT field for Saturday’s two-hour, 45-minute race.
