[VIDEO] Sheriff's Undercover Corvette Stingray with PDR Helps Bust Street Racers in Texas

Hey, Corvette drivers, if you want to race, take it to the track.

Don’t endanger the lives of innocent people trying to prove your manhood on public streets.

Eight people apparently didn’t heed that advice in Harris County, Texas on Friday, March 20, as they were arrested for street racing on the same weekend as a major drag racing event in town, the TX2K.

Three Los Angeles police officers who shot and killed a Corvette driver they believed was reaching for a weapon last year won’t face criminal charges following the recent conclusion of an investigation by LA prosecutors.

The shooting of 51-year-old Brian Beaird came on the night of Dec. 13, 2013 after he had led police on a wild high-speed chase through downtown Los Angeles.

The pursuit finally ended when Beaird crashed into another car while going through an intersection. He then climbed out of the Corvette, staggering and heading toward the back of the car where officers believed he was reaching for a weapon.

It’s hard to picture a much more patriotic car than the Chevrolet Corvette.

And when it comes to supporting the “red, white, and blue,” our nation’s law enforcement personnel definitely rank among some of our most patriotic citizens.

Since Jan. 9, 2015 is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day across the U.S., the National Corvette Museum is showing its appreciation to these men and women by offering free admission to the museum to active and retired law enforcement and their immediate accompanying families Friday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Jan. 11.

A Brownsville, Ky, driver faces multiple charges after a Saturday afternoon joyride in a 1993 Corvette turned into a wild airborne crash.

Miraculously, both the driver and the passenger escaped the accident with their lives.

Christopher Snelling, 41, faces the criminal charges after the black Corvette he was driving eastbound on Mammoth Cave Road left the road at a high rate of speed, between 85 and 90 mph, and went airborne for 160 feet before crashing into the ground and making a large indention.

For the second time this month, a Corvette driver has been shot and killed by law enforcement officers after leading them on a high-speed chase.

On Dec. 13, 51-year-old Brian Newt Beaird of Oceanside, Calif., died after being shot after leading Los Angeles Police on a wild hour-long chase into the city and trying to flee after T-boning another car with his C6 Corvette while speeding through an intersection.

This time, it was a 17-year-old Gulf Breeze, Fla., teenager already facing vehicular homicide charges who was killed.

[VIDEO] Car Wash Owner Pursuits Cop Shooter in a C5 Corvette

Some folks might have left the police work to the professionals.

But not the owner of an Albuquerque car wash, who risked life and limb in his souped-up 2003 Corvette last Saturday to chase a bad guy who had shot police officer Matthew Hannum in the leg and then stole his cop car with the emergency lights flashing.
