Chevrolet got some good news and some bad from Consumer Reports in its annual Car Brand Perception survey.
In the survey, Consumer Reports lists each automaker’s highest-rated vehicle – and its lowest-rated.
Fortunately for Corvette fans, the Z06 was Chevy’s highest rated with a score of 92.

Chevrolet sponsored the Grammy Awards that aired on CBS on Sunday evening and ran a :90 second commercial titled Find New Roads Anthem which included the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe. We believe this is the first time the Stingray Coupe has aired in an actual broadcast commercial and in case you missed it, check it out after the jump.
With the seventh-generation Corvette due to be unveiled Sunday and more than 20 other vehicle launches planned globally in 2013, General Motors announced today that it will also begin a new Chevrolet advertising campaign next month.
Back in May we told you about John Buttermore, the Lead Development Engineer on the Chevy Sonic program who also just happens to be the defending SCCA Touring 1 National Champion. Now make that the 2 –time defending National Champion. Buttermore recently piloted his Corvette to his 2nd consecutive Touring 1 National Championship during the SCCA runoffs at Road America.

When I was in Detroit last month for the Woodward Dream Cruise, my personal Corvette story was told to a few GM’ers and it eventually made it way to Paul Manzella who runs the Faces of GM website. So I did a quick interview with Paul from GM’s Design on Woodward car show the Wednesday before Dream Cruise and today that video went live so check it out!
Sometimes it’s tough being young.
For example, just ask the players on the prestigious Manchester United soccer squad in Great Britain who are younger than 23. They won’t be able to take full advantage of a very generous offer by the team’s newest sponsor, Chevrolet, to give them the Chevy of their choice, even a shiny new Corvette.

We can’t imagine that many owners would be disappointed in their decision to purchase a new Corvette, but sometimes it happens. The good news is that Chevy is now backing its new vehicle line-up with a new guarantee just in case the unthinkable should occur – If you don’t love it, return it.

Chevrolet without Corvette?
Sounds like coffee without cream to some folks, but believe it or not, at the turn of the century, General Motors was apparently considering the possibility of making Corvette a brand of its own, according to the recent recollections of Rick Kranz, product editor for Automotive News.
