Paul McCartney is, well, Paul McCartney. And a Corvette is, well, a Corvette.
When you put the two together, you produce unimaginable respect.
For example, TMZ is currently showing a video of Sir Paul in his daily driver around Los Angeles – a blue C5 convertible – as he pulls into a loading zone at LAX to let his girlfriend Nancy Shevell out at the airport.
Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is well known for his foodie show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and earlier this year we learned that he has a taste for cars as well – namely those wearing a bow-tie. Guy drove the 2012 Corvette ZR1 pace car at this year’s Indy 500 and that opportunity allowed him to get close to Corvette Team who worked with him to create his very own custom 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible.
This 1973 red Corvette doesn’t really seem like the kind of car that Kelsey Grammer would drive.
But then again, Grammer was just portraying that snob Fraiser Crane on Cheers all those years.
According to an ad on eBay trying to sell this Corvette, the owner bought it from Grammer in 2003 and has stored it in a temperature controlled garage at his Woodland Hills, California home, ever since.

I’ve always been a bit of a George Clooney fan – the Oceans 11 franchise and the Fabulous Mr. Fox are among our Clooney favorites here at the CorvetteBlogger compound. So it was cool to see the actor has a thing for Corvettes as well.
This Saturday, he was spotted cruising about tinsel town in the classic American sports car – a red/white C1 Corvette. Check out Clooney looking like a million bucks in his little red Corvette after the jump.
Every little kid at some point in his or her life wanted to be an astronaut at one time or another. Only a very few actually end up living out there spacey dreams. Neil Armstrong did just that when he became the first person to step on the moon in July of 1969. Unfortunately, you can’t be the first person on the lunar surface, but you can at least drive his Corvette if you have the winning bid on eBay.

Check out this video of NYC-based rapper “LYRIC INFORCA” as he plays a stereotypical New Yorker driving around in a Velocity Yellow Corvette Z06 while banging out some big beats.
Actually, this NSFW video is just about the worst thing you’ll ever seen. In hindsight, we can’t decide whether the Corvette is the video’s saving grace or the unfortunate victim of being owned by a gold chainer “Yo, Vinnie from the Bronx”.

His parents wanted him to become a lawyer, but Dick Guldstrand listened to his heart instead and became one of the most successful Corvette racers of all time.
Now in a Youtube video posted recently, Car Museum 2010 interviews Guldstrand at the Legends of Riverside in March 2010 about another side of the racing legend.
Paul Newman’s last competitive car – a 2002 Corvette racer adorned with patriotic red, white and blue paint – made it past the low end of the pre-auction estimates at a Florida sale over the weekend – but not by much.
The famous actor’s car brought $275,000 at RM Auctions’ sale in Amelia Island on Saturday, March 10, just above the bottom of the range of $250,000 to $350,000 that had been estimated by experts in the weeks before the sale.
