2012 Corvette Deadlines are Coming and Going Fast!

In a post a few weeks ago, I talked about the fast approaching deadlines for the 2012 Corvette model year and introductory information for the 2013 Corvette model year.

Well, deadlines are not always accurate so don’t wait too long. Here’s what I mean. The color Carlisle Blue was scheduled to have its last order date on Thursday 02/09/12. However, when orders opened up that day, there were ZERO Carlisle Blue cars available nationwide. If you didn’t get your order in a week early, you were out of luck!

[PICS] Corvettes at the North American International Auto Show

Each January all eyes on the automotive world focus on the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. All the major carmakers roll out their latest creations and concepts for the world to see. This year General Motors created a whole new display to highlight their portfolio of products. We grabbed a couple of tickets to the ritzy charity preview event so we could check out all the good stuff before the show opened to the public.

During his remarks, Mark told the audience that there were two model years (2012 and 2013) remaining for the current generation of Corvette.

Corvettes at Carlisle: GM Shows Off New GCA Wheels and Stripes

Corvettes at Carlisle provided GM’s Corvette Team the perfect backdrop to show off some new accessories, especially on the show’s new namesake color, the 2012 Corvette Grand Sport in Carlisle Blue. Shown on the Grand Sports were the new Torque 2 wheels and a stripe package which can be ordered at Chevy dealers through the Genuine Corvette Accessories catalog.

We finally had a chance to check out the new 2012 color, Carlisle Blue, in person last weekend at the Bloomington Gold show. This was on the same car which we spotted on Lance Miller’s Facebook page. A constant stream of people surrounded the new Grand Sport convertible and its 2012 stable mates in the GM booth most of the weekend. That 2012 Carlisle Blue Corvette Grand Sport Coupe that was spotted on a car hauler a couple of weeks ago seems to have turned up at the Corvette Club of America’s 37th Annual Spring Car Show. The show was held Saturday at Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring, Maryland. In addition to the celebrity cars on hand was another celebrity, Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles who took a moment to pose with the new Grand Sport.

New Carlisle Blue Corvette Spotted on Car Hauler

Les Stanford Chevrolet of Dearborn, MI posted these photos Wednesday on the Corvette Forum which show a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport painted in Carlisle Blue. Having seen just the bumper cover at the Bash, I wondered how it would look on a full car. Carlisle Blue to Make Debut on 2012 Corvettes

The retirement of Jetstream Blue Metallic in 2011 leaves the door open for GM to offer a new color for the 2012 Corvette and today we are pleased to bring you its replacement: Carlisle Blue Metallic. The new color is an existing Chevy color called “Ice Blue Metallic” and can be seen on the 2011 Cruze. We think the color reminds us of the 1982 color called Silver Blue Metallic or the Light Blue Metallic offered in 1984-85.
