Collectible Corvettes: 1995 Indy 500 Corvette Pace Car

The fourth generation Corvette (C4) marked its eleventh anniversary in 1995 and the General Motors design team made the C4 more refined than ever before. Corvette took a step up in performance and sophistication with larger brake rotors, traction control and optional run-flat tires. But the big news for 1995 was the selection of Corvette to pace the Indy 500. It marked the third time that the marque would do the honors and the second time that Chevrolet would build a limited number of Pace Car replicas for the public.

[VIDEO] Jeff Gordon Drives the 2015 Corvette Z06 Indy 500 Pace Car

Most Memorial Day weekends, NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon is found preparing for the Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. This Memorial Day weekend, he’ll be pulling the infamous “double” with a bit of a twist. While some drivers have attempted to drive both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day, Gordon will be in Indianapolis this Sunday to drive the 2015 Corvette Z06 pace car before jetting off to Charlotte to compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup 600 mile race later in the day.

If you happen to buy a new Corvette in roughly two years, you can likely thank the previous customers of the seventh-generation Stingray for your improved paint job.

The overwhelming success of the new Corvette, introduced in 2014, no doubt heavily influenced General Motors’ announcement today that it will be investing $439 million at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, most of which will go to a new Corvette paint shop that will include “substantial technology upgrades,” according to GM.

[VIDEO] Watch this Lady-Driven Corvette Z06 Hit the 10s at the Dragstrip

The perception of the Corvette as an old mans car has been out there for a while now but the new C7 Corvette has gone a long way to debunk that. Now, not only are women buying the new Corvettes, but they are taking them to track and breaking stereotypes there as well.

Today’s featured video from CorvetteVideos.TV features a female-owned 2015 Corvette Z06 with a stage 1 aero kit and the new 8-speed automatic. Watch the Laguna Blue Z06 with the vanity plate “SHE WNZ” make multiple passes in the 10s at Gateway Motorsports Park.

It’s never nice to see a C7 Corvette Stingray involved in an accident, but this time at least it wasn’t a speeding Corvette at fault.

The Torch Red Corvette with Adrenaline Red interior and black wheels suffered extensive damage to the passenger side after the wreck Sunday afternoon in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada.

[PIC] NFL Colts DE Arthur Jones to Return his New Corvette Stingray to the Dealer

Sometimes it not how much you like a car, but how it fits your lifestyle. Take professional football player Arthur Jones of the Indianapolis Colts for example. The Colts’ defensive end was recently seen pictured next to his red Corvette Stingray Convertible but unfortunately, the car is just a bit too small for the footballer who clocks in at 6-3 and 337 pounds.

In an instagram post he posted on Friday, Jones says he wishes he could fit into the car and hashtagged the post as #bigboyproblems:
