Here’s the first video we’ve seen that has the all new 2015 Corvette Z06 going head to head in various highway pulls against its primary domestic competitor, a 2014 Viper TA. Was this the expected result?

America’s two best sportscars battle it out to see who is the king of the road. Both vehicles are 100% stock. Outdoor temperature was 57F. A total of 7 clean runs were made, from varying mph starts and finishes.

We’ve featured quarter mile runs from Mark Carlyle’s Twin Turbo Corvette Z06 before and there are almost always epic. The two runs captured on video from the Maryland International Raceway during World Cup Finals are no different as he rips a best time of 6.78 seconds at 224.40 mph!

Watch this Corvette Z06 built by Race Proven Motorsports haul ass down the track with several eight and nine second quarter mile runs.

This build came down to the wire as Race Proven Motorsports readied to hit the track at the World Cup Finals in their shop car. After watching this video, you’ll quickly realize that all the hard work was worth it. The 427ci LSX F1C Procharged animal is almost too much to handle, but it still hooks and boogies anyway!

Last week at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the National Corvette Museum’s Sinkhole was a topic of conversation for many Corvette enthusiasts but this time its in the news for all the right reasons. [PICS] The Corvettes at the 2014 SEMA Show

Ever since attending our first SEMA show, we’ve been hooked. And it’s not hard to see why either. There’s a ton of Corvette eye candy waiting to be seen with a different take on the car at just about every booth. Then tie in the cool new Corvette-related products, hot booth girls and the excitement of Las Vegas and that just about sums up what SEMA is all about.

Armed with our trusty Canon DSLR, we went hunting for Corvettes at the 2014 SEMA show and by our count, came up nearly 70 different cars ranging from a 1958 restomod to the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible.

While most of us in the Corvette community don’t take our Corvettes for granted, they are always around as part of our families and, like the family dog or cat, we sometimes tend to forget how really special they are.

Not so for Jonathan “Randy” Williamson of Bluffton, Ohio. On the day before Halloween, there were no tricks played on Randy, only a very special treat—he got the chance to live out his dream of a ride in a Corvette convertible. Fifty-five-year-old Williamson has been on dialysis for over 20 years and lives in Richland Manor, a senior living healthcare campus community. His passions are cars and music, and one of his fondest bucket-list items was to take a ride in a Corvette.
