A Friday afternoon crash sent the driver of this 1987 Corvette to the hospital. The man was driving near Tiverton, RH when his Corvette left the road and went into a swampy area, rolled on its roof and trapped the driver under it.
When is a Corvette more than just a car?
When it happens to be the 1993 40th Anniversary coupe that has raised more than $300,000 at Barrett-Jackson’s collector car auctions, benefiting cancer research at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

Vette Testarossa – $16500 (las vegas)
Found that headline while browsing Craigslist this week and for some reason, I got a kick that out of all places, the car is in Vegas. Now its got to stay there, right? Our black faux-testarossa sits on a 1984 Corvette chassis and the merged kit car looks to be well executed, down to the prancing horse logo on the rear. If you’ve got $16,500 or a 2000 or newer limousine to trade, the Vette Testarossa could be yours!

In our latest edition of Corvette Vanity Plates, we walked row after row of parked Corvettes at Corvettes at Carlisle to bring you some of the best custom plates we’ve seen yet. After photographing hundreds of Corvette vanity plates over the last year, I’ve come to the conclusion that Corvette owners with custom vanity plates fall into one of two camps. The first are those with plates that describe the car, like “ZRRR-1″ and “505HP Z06″ and then there are those that express the owner’s state of mind as in “LIFES GD” and “EZ LIVIN”. Corvette owners have no shortage of creativity which you’ll see on full display after the jump.
Here’s a Corvette that had its 15 minutes of fame in television history. For sale on eBay is the 1984 Corvette that was driven by Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck of the A-Team series. It was the only Corvette used during the show’s 1983-87 run and featured a custom red stripe that went around the entire car. The Corvette is documented with registrations from Stephen J. Cannell’s production company as well as two empty blank shells found under the passenger seat.
