Corvettes on eBay: The A-Team's 1984 Corvette

Here’s a Corvette that had its 15 minutes of fame in television history. For sale on eBay is the 1984 Corvette that was driven by Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck of the A-Team series. It was the only Corvette used during the show’s 1983-87 run and featured a custom red stripe that went around the entire car. The Corvette is documented with registrations from Stephen J. Cannell’s production company as well as two empty blank shells found under the passenger seat.

At first glance you might think the Corvette’s driver was doing something stupid and the end result was this damaged car. Our Corvette accidents category is filled with similar tales. That wasn’t the case here as this C4 Corvette was just tending to his own business when he became tangled up in three car incident on Long Island.

C4 Corvette Owner Dumps Supercharged 396 V8 for an Electric Motor

Wayne Bickley’s 1996 Black Corvette and its supercharged 396 cubic inch V8 was the epitome of performance. Unfortunately, it was also a target of California’s stringent emissions laws. So instead of fighting the man, Bickley went the opposite direction by dumping the gas-powered V8 engine for an electric motor and a batch of 16-volt batteries. How is the performance of that black Vette now? Check out these videos to see for yourself.

[PICS] Canterbury Vette Fest

Article contributed by Steve Burns

It was a busy Father’s Day weekend here at CorvetteBlogger.com. We kicked off back to back car shows first by participating in the Canterbury Vette Fest held in Lake Orion, MI. This was the 7th annual event at this location hosted by the GMC Corvette Set club. Mother Nature and roughly 100 Corvettes made for a fantastic day on the grounds of Olde World Canterbury Village. Corvettes from all generations were sprinkled about the scenic streets, sidewalks, and green grass of the village. The event was free to spectators and raised over $3,000 dollars for the Leader Dogs for Blind. Check out some pics from the event after the jump.

[VIDEO] C4 Corvette Dragster from Down Under

Want to see what a 7 second quarter mile pull feels like? This C4 Corvette dragster hails from the Northern Territory of Australia and was recently seen at a drag strip in Perth. I particularly liked the flaming skull in front of the massive Chevy 510. It’s more Ghost Rider than Jake, but when you’re on one of the fastest C4 Corvettes ever built, it’s only the graphics on the rear that will be seen. Make sure you check out the video, especially around the 3:20 mark.
