St. Bernard Classic Corvette Giveaway is Offering a 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible

Our good friends from the Saint Bernard Catholic Parish in Rockport, IN have once again outdone themselves for their annual fundraiser.

For the 27th year of Saint Bernard’s classic Corvette giveaway, the southern Indiana church is offering a beautiful red 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible.

Tickets for the giveaway are $30 each or four tickets for $100 and only 12,000 tickets will be sold. Two cash prizes of $500 and $250 will also be drawn. Click here to order your tickets.

[VIDEO] Astronaut Gus Grissom's 1967 Corvette Lands in Wilmington, NC

For Wilmington, N.C., auto dealer Don Latham, the 1967 Corvette Sting Ray he bought at a Florida auction last week has the right stuff.

You see, he bought one of the Corvettes owned by the “Mercury Seven,” the men chosen by NASA in April 1959 to lead America into the Space Age.

All seven of the astronauts had a Corvette, and this one belonged to Virgil “Gus” Grissom, who was one of the three astronauts who died on the launch pad aboard Apollo 1 on Jan. 27, 1967.

That happened to a Tampa, FL area man who was staying at a hotel in Moultrie, GA. last weekend.

[PICS] 2015 NCRS Winter Regional at Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, FL

One of our favorite Corvettes shows we attend religiously is the annual NCRS Winter Regional in Central Florida. This year, the show was held at the Sun ‘n Fun facility in Lakeland, Florida which is a working airport and the site of a huge annual fly-in.

The new location had its good and bad points, but overall we were positive about it as it was a great facility for hosting the Winter Regional Corvette show.

Ivan and Mary Schrodt Donate Five Corvettes to the National Corvette Museum

Ivan and Mary Schrodt of Sherwood, Wisconsin made headlines in the Corvette world recently when they donated five Corvettes to the National Corvette Museum (NCM) The five included one Corvette from each of generations C2 through C6 and initially were to be included in the Schrodts very generous gift to the NCM as part of their estate. However, after their first trip to the NCM Motorsports Park during the 2014 Labor Day Celebration, they had a change of heart.
