OFFICIAL: GM Production of 2014 Corvette Stingrays Totals 37,288

Earlier this month we ballparked 2014 Corvette Stingray production at just over 36,500 units which takes into account the 35,523 known VINs plus an additional 1,050 for the Premiere Editions.

But we were too low in our estimate.

GM officially revealed at last weekend’s Corvettes at Carlisle show that 37,288 Corvettes were built during the 2014 model year.

It was rocking year for the 2014 Corvette Stingray and now it has come to an end.

Production of the 2014 Model Year Corvette officially ended on Friday, August 8th and its the 2015 Corvette Stingray that is now heading down the assembly line in Bowling Green.

A Group of Aspiring Engineers Visits the Corvette Assembly Plant

Who knows? Perhaps one of the college students who recently took part in a unique learning experience at the Corvette Assembly Plant will come back one day and help General Motors design its C8 or C9 Corvette.

The aspiring engineers – members of the National Society of Black Engineers – belong to three chapters of NSBE at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, and University of Pittsburgh.

Chevy Working Out Details for the 2015 Corvette Z06 Engine Build Experience

The new 650-horsepower, 6.2-liter V8 monster engine that will power the upcoming 2015 Corvette Z06 will be assembled in two locations.

But only the engines that are put together at the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green, Ky., will be eligible for the build-your-own program, according to a report on Edmunds.com.

Holley Performance Products Becomes a Sponsor of the NCM Motorsports Park

Today marks a new partnership for two performance organizations that both happen to call Bowling Green, Kentucky home.

Holley Performance Products and the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park today announced the sponsorship of the track’s control tower and event center.

The two-level Holley Control Tower and Event Center will mimic the look of the National Corvette Museum and construction is slated to begin sometime in 2015.

GM Fires the Corvette Assembly Plant's Longtime UAW President Eldon Renaud

The leader of the UAW chapter that authorized a potential strike at the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant back in April has been fired by General Motors after 46 years as an employee.

Eldon Renaud, president of Bowling Green’s United Auto Workers Local 2164 for the past 32 years, had been leading the union’s recent concerns over safety and other issues at the Kentucky plant, where the highly popular seventh-generation Stingrays are being built.
