This Torch Red Corvette Stingray Convertible crashed into a parked car early Sunday morning in Westminster, California. The accident sent the female driver to the hospital with serious injuries.
Two police officers in Millville, N.J., are under investigation after the green 1974 Corvette they were riding in crashed into a church.
The incident, which happened on the evening of Sept. 3, only became public Tuesday after The Daily Journal newspaper asked law enforcement officials about the crash and criminal review now underway by the Prosecutor’s Office.
A white C5 Corvette was hit from behind by a Jeep in Somers, Wisconsin earlier this month, sending at least three people to the hospital.
The Corvette was eastbound on Highway K and was trying to turn south into a driveway when it was struck in the rear by the eastbound Jeep.
We already knew that the C7 Corvette was hot. The car has taken home numerous industry awards and over 37,000 of them were built.
They’ve scorched the competition in various comparisons both on the track and off.
Over the last year or so we’ve seen countless wrecked C7’s. This one is easily the crispiest one we’ve seen yet. The entire car is well done like the finest filet mignon at your local steak house. It resembles the remains of Chernobyl after the 1980’s reactor fire and subsequent meltdown. In fact the only remaining components we can make out after the carbeque are the metallic components like the wheels, miscellaneous frame bits, and the mufflers.
A deadly accident in San Diego over the weekend offers proof once again of how dangerous street racing can be.
The 27-year-old driver of a silver C5 Corvette lost his life instantly when he crashed into a palm tree while apparently racing a black Mercedes which fled the scene.
We’ve heard of Corvette dragsters popping wheelies, but here’s something you definitely don’t see every day: a C6 Corvette resting at a 45-degree angle with its front bumper centered by a utility pole guy wire.
The unusual sight happened late Wednesday morning in Tampa, Fla., at Albany and Waters avenues near Armenia.
A red 1999 Corvette coupe suffered an apparent mechanical problem on Saturday morning and wound up in the woods in the Florida Panhandle town of Crestview.
“I love that car,” said a Crestview man who requested his name not be revealed. “It’s something I wish I didn’t have to be seeing.”
Their injuries may be the least of their worries after two men in Hamtramck, Mich., wrecked a C4 Corvette they are accused of stealing last week.
Hamtramck Police Chief Max Garbarino says the driver was driving irresponsibly and spinning the tires in the Corvette, prompting lawmen to give chase.
We know we’re guilty of sharing the occasional street racing video and its almost like a guilty pleasure of ours to hear those Corvettes revving up and driving hard after three beeps. We know its wrong, like checking out the latest leaked celebrity nude photos. It’s not like we go searching for them. They just seem to find us. But I digress…
Not every street race ends safely and it can be an educational experience to share the what happens when street racing goes bad story. To that end, we bring you this video that shows what can go wrong and how fast that wrong can come if you decide to street race your Corvette.
This street race starts out the same as most others do. Two high powered vehicles pace each other ready to have themselves a little speed contest. What’s different about this situation comes after both drivers mash the gas. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 immediately breaks traction as the rear wheels spin free.
