LE MANS, France – Corvette Racing completed a successful test day at Le Mans on Easter Sunday. Corvette Racing’s four full-season American Le Mans Series drivers – Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen, Olivier Beretta and Tommy Milner – used one of the team’s European customer cars to collect valuable data for the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 11-12.

[VIDEO] 1960 #3 Le Mans Corvette Documentary The Quest to Premiere in May

When the class-winning 1960 #3 Briggs Cunningham Corvette returned to France in 2010, it marked the 50th anniversary of its historic victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Filmmaker Michael Brown documented the dream of renowned Corvette enthusiast Chip Miller in this feature-length saga of machine and man as well as the promise of a son to fulfill his father’s wish that was 50 years in the making. “The Quest” will make its worldwide premiere at Carlisle, PA on May 6th with proceeds benefiting the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation.

Luc Alphand to Retire Corvette Racing Program

Luc Alphand and his racing team Alphand Aventures carried the flag for Corvette in Europe since 2006. His white GT1 Corvettes were a mainstay at Le Mans as much as the factory yellow C6.Rs. A crash while competing in the Rand’Auvergne all-terrain motorcycle race last year resulted in severe back injuries and now the former champion downhill skier has decided to retire from motorsports.
