Chevrolet officially opens the order books today for the 2024 Corvette Stingray and Z06 models. It’s always interesting to see what’s happening with the new options on the first few order cycles as Chevy transitions from the previous model year to the new one. We all know the story of the infamous sinkhole that opened up under the National Corvette Museum back in 2014 that claimed eight special Corvettes. The cars were eventually rescued with some being able to be saved and restored like the 1 Millionth Corvette and a donated 1962 Roadster, while the C6 ZR1 was famously restarted right there and then after it was craned out of the hole. The Corvette Museum has commemorated the event with a special “Corvette Cave-In” exhibit, and there is a spot within the NCM Skydome that actually allows you to look down inside the cavern that still exists.
