Will the mid-engine C8 Corvette have a dual clutch transmission?
Well, Road & Track says the evidence is pointing that way more and more every day. The magazine is reporting that an employee newsletter from the supplier of a machine used to produce a DCT transmission for GM seems to indicate that General Motors and Ford may be sharing such a gearbox from Tremec, with the newsletter speculating that the C8 Corvette and the Mustang GT500 would be the lucky recipients.
Those rumors of a surprise reveal of the C8 mid-engine Corvette at NAIAS fell flat today with no surprise reveal nor a Corvette team member in sight anywhere on the floor at the Detroit auto show. Hardest hit was Zerv02 on the Corvette Forum who said his source has never let him down, until he did.

The 2019 International Auto Show season kicked off earlier this week in Detroit with the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The event annually welcomes 5,000 or so journalists from all around the world and 750,000 public spectators over its 2-week span. This is where the auto industry goes to show off their latest and greatest offerings. After all, it’s where the industry began.

When the new spy photos of the C8 Mid-Engine Corvette were revealed on Friday, Corvette enthusiasts like us got very excited over the design and layout of the cockpit.
Now that we’ve had a chance to calm down over our initial shock and awe of the C8’s interior (and the fact that these photos were able to published), we returned to the photos looking for anything that may give us a clue about the new Corvette and any of the features it may contain.

Another C8 Mid-Engine Corvette sighting in the Detroit area this evening! Whew! I am about spent from all the C8 news today surrounding the first interior photos and now we see the 2020 Corvette with its headlights brightly illuminated as it heads down the highway.
