National Corvette Museum Offering a $2,500 Scholarship As Part of its Educational Programs


The National Corvette Museum is a big supporter of education, what with its Driver’s Education, Driver Safety Awareness Day, Andy Pilgrim’s Traffic Safety Education Foundation, scavenger hunts for Scout groups, and teacher resources and field trips.

But that’s not the only way the NCM is helping students across the United States.

Last week we featured a vintage Corvette Sting Ray at the 2019 Rolex Pre-Reunion event and it was amazing to watch as the driver passed 12 cars on the opening lap.

For those of you that like the raw sights and sounds of vintage Corvettes racing, here’s a new video with this one coming from the Rolex Reunion races a week later that features Cadillac racer Jordan Taylor and the mighty 1976 “Spirit of America” Greenwood Corvette racer.

It’s always hard to describe the Woodward Dream Cruise. After all, it is the world’s largest one-day automotive event. It’s not your typical car show. Usually, we can show you coverage from all corners of an event like Corvettes at Carlisle or Bloomington Gold, but the Dream Cruise is 16 miles long. We usually share photos of most of the cars at a traditional Corvette show, but the Dream Cruise draws upwards of 40,000 collector cars each year.

That’s why this 1969 Corvette convertible – done up in an eye-catching black, no less – caught our eye on craigslist.
