It’s baaaaaack! In case you missed the opportunity to buy this Corvette when it was being offered at auction by Insurance Auto Auctions, as we reported on March 10, 2014, it’s now back on the market.
Bob McDorman has been in love with cars since he was just a kid.
Now he’s sharing that enthusiasm with the public in a big way.
McDorman, a familiar face in the Corvette world thanks to his nearly half a century as a Chevrolet dealer, opened the Bob McDorman Automotive Museum in Canal Winchester, Ohio on the Fourth of July.
Happy Birthday, America!
In celebration of the 4th of July, here’s a special gallery of patriotic Corvettes. So sit back and enjoy the Corvette-fueled fireworks as we bring you 36 Corvettes dressed or surrounded by Old Glory.
Mid America Motorworks is always looking for new and exciting activities for its annual Corvette Funfest.
This year’s event, set for Sept. 18-21 in Effingham, Ill., will feature a new contest between the branches of the military to see which one – the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, or Reserves – ends up with the most active and retired Corvette enthusiasts to register for Corvette Funfest 2014.
If you’ve ever wondered what the inside of a C5 Corvette door looks like, here’s your chance.
This black Z06 was involved in a two-car collision in Canada a couple weeks ago. The crash sent the Corvette through the backyard of a Nepean home, leaving the front half of the car under the fence like a dog trying to dig his way under.
They’re still out there.
That’s the mantra repeated by Corvette collectors and restorers continuously in search of the next treasure that’s been tucked away out of sight for years. Sometimes those finds are rarer than others like this 1 of 3 known black/black 1965 big tank coupe on display at Bloomington Gold last weekend.
We’ve featured a couple videos now from the XCAR automotive video channel. Here is Drew from XCAR taking a few laps around the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a new Corvette Stingray the morning before the 24 hour race. This is one of the fastest “parade laps” we’ve seen yet for the Stingray and Drew just can’t believe his lucky stars to be driving the circuit de la Sarthe.

The oil runs thick in Dave Tatman’s veins.
That’s why it’s no surprise that the recently retired general manager of the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green has already turned up in a new and exciting post related to the auto industry.
Tatman was named yesterday as the first executive director of the Kentucky Auto Industry Association, which aims to promote the state as a world leader in the automotive industry.
One of the hottest designs to come out of the 2013 SEMA Show was the Forgiato widebody Corvette Stingray. While previous SEMA shows have featured redesigned or rebodied Corvettes as show cars or pre-production concepts, the Forgiato widebody seems to have real staying power as more individuals are emulating the design with their own cars.
Previous Forgiato C7 widebodys have been featured in some rather unique exterior colors like Aston Martin Blue and Tangelo Orange, but we found this Forgiato Stingray on eBay painted in one of the factory colors – Arctic White.
