A few weeks ago, we told you about a < AHReF="https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2020/03/24/pic-heres-a-corvette-suv-rendering-we-can-get-behind/">rendering of what an SUV might look like if it was based on a C8 Corvette, according to a YouTube artist named The Sketch Monkey.
Today, that same designer has turned his attention to showing us what the eighth-generation Corvette could have looked like, had Chevy decided to stick with the traditional front-engine layout.
In a new report from The Detroit News on Monday comes the news that General Motors has directed suppliers to halt work until next year on several mid-cycle updates that were in the process for its trucks, SUVs and other vehicles which include the new mid-engine Corvette.
We got some good news from our friends at Spring Mountain and the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. The official high peformance driving school of Corvette has released a schedule with the first available dates for the new C8 Corvette Owner’s School.

The Stradman is back and I hope you can keep up with him as there is a lot of action in his latest youtube video featuring his 2020 Corvette Stingray. He’s somewhat of an acquired taste so if you want to jump ahead to the action, it starts just after the four-minute mark.
Most of the video features him and his girlfriend Tessa making top speed runs in the Arctic White Z51 Coupe. Those runs were made out in the desert on hard-packed clay but with empty miles in front of them, they are able to reach speeds of over 170 mph.
For a bit of an interlude, the Stradman plays frisbee while driving the car. And in case you are wondering just what the top speed of the C8 Corvette is in reverse, it’s 31 mph.
One of the most powerful IMSA Corvette race cars of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s has been painstakingly restored to Concours condition by a California company named Canepa.
Last August, we brought you the scoop on the 2020 Corvette Performance Data Recorder (PDR). The Corvette’s Performance Data Recorder was the brainchild of Corvette Product Manager, Harlan Charles, and was first available as an option on the 2015 Stingray.
Over the weekend, we brought you the news that two new colors are coming to the 2021 Corvette. One of those new colors is called Red Mist Tintcoat and will be replacing Long Beach Red which first appeared on Corvettes in 2016. The good news is that we believe we have found a color chip of it from an automotive touch-up paint retailer.

We’ve been enjoying the videos from 19-year-old YouTuber named Speed Phenom and this week he picked up his 2020 Corvette Stingray! In this new video, he shares some of the best moments from his cross-country journey back to the west coast and along the way we see his odometer reset after he 500-mile break-in period has been reached.
It was just last week that our own Alex Sommers was asking when we would learn about the changes to the 2021 Corvettes and the answer is sooner than GM expected. Late Saturday night saw the options posted to a C8 Corvette Owners Group on Facebook and they quickly exploded across the popular Corvette forums. The leak is credited to Aaron Adams of Sims Chevrolet and to us it reads much like the Order Guide summary that shares additions and deletions to the new model year.
