Richard Sampson, a grocery store owner in Brunswick, Maine, purchased a new 1954 Corvette and enjoyed driving the two-seat convertible for about five years. However, in 1959, Mr. Sampson found out that his wife no longer enjoyed riding in it. After finding this shocking information out from his wife and being disappointed himself, he decided that he would no longer drive the Polo White roadster.

It’s a busy time for the Chevy sales rep as Mike is delivering new Corvettes to happy customers just about as fast as they come in. This week’s “Corvette Dreams” were made with customers taking delivery at Criswell Chevrolet, the National Corvette Museum, and courtesy deliveries at dealers across the country. In addition to sharing new Corvette photos, we also get a nice collection of throwback and vintage pics, plus some photos of the Corvette Racing team that went 1-2 at Sebring yesterday! Thanks to YouTuber Jason Fenske, we now have logical explanations for the so-called “flaws” in the engineering of the new C8 Corvette.
In a new YouTube video, Fenske shares his thoughts behind five of these “flaws,” explaining why the C8 has (1) brake by wire, (2) a longer stopping distance than the C7, (3) understeer, (4) a pushrod engine with two valves per cylinder, and (5) all-season tires.
