He didn’t break the all-motor record for C8s, but Carlos Rios came mighty close in his Arctic White 2020 Corvette Coupe last week.

Taking his naturally aspirated C8 out for a test day at Bradenton Motorsport Park in Florida, Rios was overjoyed with his time of 10.552 seconds at 129.26 mph.

A GM internal document that lays out the 2021 Model Year Vehicle Build-Out Report as well as the 2022 Model Year Vehicle Start-Up landed in our mailbox today. What we see that is of particular interest is that the report includes the dates for the final Consensus and the Dealer Order Submittal Process (DOSP) for the 2021 model year.

We have officially entered the offseason! 2021 Corvettes are on the ground so we can kick-off the great 2022 model year speculation and information hunt. The big news of the week came on Wednesday when our founder learned that Chevrolet plans to send three Corvette colors out to pasture after the C8’s sophomore campaign.
