Earlier this year we passed along the exciting news that the winner of the 2020 Corvette Dream Giveaway had been selected. In mid-January, Henry Reus of Illinois received the call from Chris and Boomer at the Dream Garage that he had won a 2020 Corvette Z51 Coupe, a 1962 Corvette Restomod, plus a check for $45,000 to help pay the taxes.
Normally, the winner is flown down to Clearwater, Florida where the prizes are awarded in person, but unfortunately, that event was canceled due to the COVID pandemic.
Henry still gets to celebrate though even if it is at home, and yesterday our friends at the Dream Garage posted this photo of Henry with his two new cars and a nice winners basket filled with goodies!
We are sure that Henry will be able to enjoy his two new Corvettes on the road soon, and now the hard decision on which Corvette to drive will be his and his alone.

General Motors to Raise the Price on the 2021 Corvette by $1,000 Starting Monday

I wouldn’t say that a price increase was unexpected, but the optics aren’t the greatest at this point in time as the assembly plant is continuing to face hurdles to produce the 2021 Corvette.
According to the Corvette Action Center, General Motors will be raising the prices across the board by $1,000 on the 2021 Corvette starting on Monday, March 1st.

On Thursday morning, the “Sort of Licensed Troubleshooter” drove his #007 Silver Flare Corvette to the airport and offers us this new gallery of photos showing the Corvette Assembly Plant, the National Corvette Museum, and the NCM Motorsports Park taken at an altitude of over 1,000 feet!

This week we’ve been lucky to come across new information related to the C8 Corvette as Chevy is working to begin exporting the Right-Hand-Drive (RHD) Corvettes to the U.K., Japan, and other countries later this year.
Today we have some information that is directly related to the C8 Corvette Launch for the United Kingdom. Chevrolet announced last year that a special “Launch Edition” model would be made available for the market and now we have the specifics on what the launch edition will include.
