Faulty wheels have been a touchy subject for Corvette owners, particularly those who own the C7 Z06 and Grand Sports as owners have complained for years about their aluminum wheels cracking under normal driving conditions. Now it appears that we have another issue with the Corvette’s wheels, but this time it’s affecting the new C8 Corvette.
While the eighth generation Corvette starts out as a relative bargain compared to other mid-engine sports cars offering similar performance levels, customers are apparently loading up Chevy’s Stingrays with plenty of options and raising the final price much higher.

It’s always an exciting time as we get closer to the reveal of the new Corvette model year and this year is proving no different as new details continue to leak out in regards to the 2022 Corvettes.
It was a little over a month ago that we learned that there would be three new colors for the 2022 Corvette model year. That news came from a European dealership website that posted the new color names that will be replacing Sebring Orange, Shadow Gray, and Zeus Bronze.

We first came across the Valarra widebody kit back in November of 2019 after it was unveiled at SEMA. With its exaggerated body lines, giant spoiler, jumbo wheels, and huge rear diffusers, it’s hard to believe that there’s a C6 Corvette lurking under there. It’s like a life-sized Hot Wheels car.
The rescheduling of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for August 22-23 has caused other racing series to shift their dates accordingly, and IMSA has now rescheduled the dates of its fifth event at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park.
This Black 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible may have been built last year, but today it finally received the recognition it deserves as the first customer-produced C8 Convertible in the C8 era. GM offered the Stingray convertible as a charity auction at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale sale on Friday afternoon. With much fanfare, the Corvette was hammered sold for $400,000 with 100% of the proceeds going to the United Way For Southeastern Michigan.
