I want to address a quick about-face for an article that was briefly up yesterday afternoon.

We’ve been hearing a rumor that the National Corvette Museum’s R8C delivery program was going on constraint due to the overwhelming popularity of the program as well as knowing that deliveries were beginning to back up despite the NCM increasing their weekly deliveries to 55 cars. And then yesterday, one of our readers was placing his finalized 2021 order through a dealership (within allocation) when they were stopped by the GM Workbench System from ordering the R8C Museum Delivery and the D30 Color Override.

Sebring International Raceway is one of those tracks where a racing team can think that everything is going their way, just to have it snatched away.

Both Corvette C8.Rs faced both triumph and turmoil during the Twelve Hours of Sebring back in March, and Mobil 1 the Grid is here to show us how it all went downhill for Corvette Racing. Despite holding the lead in the final minutes of the 12-hour race, the team’s two C8.Rs would finish at the bottom of the GTLM class.

One of the reasons why I’m not on Facebook as often as I used to be is that every time I’m on the social media site, I get sucked into watching those start-to-end project videos like that woodworking Corvette project we shared a couple weeks back. However, I can always appreciate an artisan at work, and so we’re going to share this video of a 1981 Corvette getting a repaint by “Custom Z Warriorz” in Japan.

The Corvette market is smoking hot as we have seen the big bucks and high sale rates for America’s favorite sports car at the auctions. While we’ve seen restomod prices going sky high, it’s also the documented original examples that are garnering a lot of interest from collectors.

Today we took a virtual cruise over to our friends at Corvette Mike in sunny Anaheim, California to check out the inventory of one of the country’s renowned Corvette resellers. With originality on our minds, we came across these three Corvettes that are in need of a new home.

The new mid-engine Corvette is definitely a world-beater.

Unfortunately, this new C8 Corvette Stingray took on the Dubai desert and apparently came up a loser, with its last journey being an unhappy trip to a junkyard on a rollback.

Perhaps nowhere is that more evident than in the rapidly evolving auto industry, which finds itself at a crossroads on the path to a future apparently filled with autonomous and electric vehicles.

We’ve been following the exploits of The Corvette Mechanic Paul Koerner, a GM World Class Technician based out of Key Chevrolet in Middletown, CT., who has been tasked with the replacement of a C8 Corvette’s blown LT2 engine. Although the cause of the engine grenading is unknown to us at this time (Paul has ruled out valve springs), the main purpose of this project is to follow along as one of the best service techs in the business works to make this Corvette owner whole again.
