The week(s) leading up to Christmas Break can be a tedious one for working folks lucky enough to get some time off at the end of the year. These dog days are usually filled with extended bathroom breaks, monotonous year-end paperwork, and the forced awkwardness of company holiday parties. We tried to help fellow members of the Crossed Flag flock power through all of this by sharing as many Corvette videos as we could. Of these pleasant and easily consumed clips, one of the more popular was the CarWow bit where a British man drove a NASCAR driver’s C8 Z06 down a runway next to a 21st Century Ford GT.

It was another banner-waving year for the Chevrolet Corvette in 2023. The model officially turned 70 years old on January 17th and the biggest news of the calendar year was the introduction of the newest C8 Corvette – the 2024 Corvette E-Ray. The Corvette also faced its challenges with production constraints and supply chain issues being a constant thorn, but on the positive side, the 2023 Corvette set a record for C8 production, and it was one of the best-selling Corvettes ever with over 53K produced for the model year.
