Just a quick post here to confirm that the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky is back to work this Monday morning after a two-week shutdown due to an undisclosed parts shortage. We reached out to Rachel Bagshaw at BGAP who confirmed this morning that regular production has resumed.
BJ Motors of Tomball, Texas, recently moved a 233-mile Centennial Edition ZR1 with the coveted PDE performance package for the impressive sum of $114,000. Now, they are offering a matching 2012 Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition with just under one-quarter of their ZR1’s already extremely low odometer reading!

Now through June 8th, you have the chance to bid on a 2015 Corvette Stingray that has had some exciting experiences in the 31,320 miles that it’s covered since leaving its small Kentucky hometown. The seller is none other than the state of New York, which came into possession of a second-year C7 through unusual means; this isn’t a former drug dealer’s whip that was confiscated on a police bust.
If your extra bright security light keeps your neighbors up at night, and then the straight-piped aftermarket exhaust on your Corvette wakes them up early, you could be a neighbor from hell…
Thanks to a member of the Corvette Forum, we have learned that GM will be issuing a recall for certain 2021 model year vehicles, and the list includes the Chevrolet Corvette. GM has alerted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to the software defect, though the NHTSA still doesn’t have any official information yet.
Please note that the recall only affects 2021 models and as it’s a software-related event, those owners will hopefully be able to take care of it via an Over the Air update.

With no official information out about the future line up of the C8 Corvette, everything we know about the supposedly top-dog C8 ZORA is based on leaks, speculation, and the historical precedent of the Corvette’s features from the previous generation.

Whenever I hear the exhaust note of a Corvette under heavy acceleration, I have a tribal reaction which I refer to as “the song of my people.” There is nothing that unites Corvette enthusiasts more than the sound of a Corvette’s V8 engine doing what it was made to do.
Texas-based tuning shop Hennessey Performance knows a thing or two about making Chevy’s Corvette sound better and it usually comes with a hefty upgrade in performance. Here we have a C7 Corvette Z06 that received a “mild” upgrade with the LT4-powered Corvette now making 850 horsepower. And when that performance meets the road, you hear it in all its glory.
With the Corvette Assembly Plant shut down over parts shortages in May and June, we’ve been waiting to see how General Motors was going to handle the remaining allocations for the 2021 Corvette model year.
The two choices for the automaker would be to extend the model year to make up for the lost production weeks, or to issue less (or none) allocations and stick to the planned production schedule. Dealers were expecting one more allocation cycle in June, and now GM has decided to call the current model year a wrap and is sticking with its plans to start the 2022 model year in early September.
