Here was a fun video to watch from C8 Corvette YouTuber RearWheelDrive who took the checkered flag at Cleetus McFarland’s Spectator Drags at the Freedom Factory race track in Bradenton, Florida.
The race had 60+ competitors entered who brought all sorts of vehicles to the track. Once the cars were lined up, they were paired up with the car either in front of them or behind them, and the two would race a single lap around the track in a single-elimination format. Despite more powerful cars being entered, the standing start and the track’s tight oval played right into the strengths of the mid-engine C8 Corvette
This is way better than jogging or lifting weights, and your Corvette will never look better!

I’ve had a couple of 2021 Corvette buyers reach out to us over the last few weeks inquiring about the 2021 Corvette’s promised $1,000 price protection for those customers who were on the order books for the 2021 model prior to March 2nd when the price increase was announced. At that time, Chevy said those customers would not be impacted by the price increase. Essentially, the theme we continue to hear today is that dealers are “unaware” of the 2021 price protection despite this being well-publicized news when it was first announced.
The first allocation of 250 mid-engine 2022 Corvettes with right-hand-drive straight from the factory has already sold out in Australia, CarAdvice reports.
Just a quick note to say that Chevrolet has communicated with its dealers and has sent the first allocations for the 2022 Corvette model year.
