ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 8, 2021) – Corvette Racing finished second and third in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) category of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on Sunday at Road America as the program now heads across the Atlantic Ocean for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It was Hot Rod Magazine’s infamous C4 lighweighting episode which introduced us to the concept of the Vette Kart and the world hasn’t been the same since. These stripped-down Corvettes are a great way to give a second life to a car that’s been crashed, and some like YouTuber Cleetus McFarland and his Kart “Leroy the Savage” have used the lower weight and big engines for a massive power to weight ratio on the drag strip.

1-2 GTLM start for team’s 20th race at Road America; Milner second in qualifying
ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 7, 2021) – Jordan Taylor gave Corvette Racing its second pole position at Road America in three years with the fast time in qualifying for the IMSA SportsCar Weekend race – the team’s 20th event at the historic road course and a fourth straight 1-2 qualifying result in GT Le Mans (GTLM) on the season.
Not only can I tell you the date down to the second of when I bought the Corvette, but I can also tell you the dates the order status went to 2000, 3000, 3800, and 4200!

A few months back we were talking with our friends at AEROLARRI about wheels when we heard that it was possible to replace the C8 Corvette Stingray’s stock 305 Michelins with those sized at 345 – the same size that is expected on the C8 Corvette Z06 when it arrives next year.
Now we have a video from InShane Designs mounting a set of 345s on a mid-engine Stingray for YouTuber StreetSpeed 717.
