One of the reasons why General Motors has been unable to clearly define the future racing plans for both Cadillac and Corvette Racing was because the organizers of Le Mans hadn’t yet offered up their vision of what sports car racing would look like in 2024 and beyond.
This 1959 Corvette convertible up for sale through midnight Sunday on eBay appears to be a true low-mileage survivor barn find.
Surprisingly, only two bids – for $50,100 – has been placed so far on this Roman Red Corvette that reportedly was last registered in 1974 and then sat in storage until 2016.

We’ve been hoping the organizers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans really want to see some competitive racing in the GTE-Pro class and that’s great news of the Corvette C8.Rs who are making their first appearance at the French endurance classic.
