The brand new Corvette coupe will be raffled off, with just 1,000 tickets being sold at the very reasonable price of $100 each.

Last month we told you about the Silver Pearl 1967 L88 Corvette Sting Ray that will be offered for sale at Worldwide Auction’s Houston Classic this Saturday, April 23rd. What we didn’t know at the time was that the 1967 Corvette was actually one of three Silver/Black L88 Roadsters offered in the sale, with an example from each of the legendary L88s three year production.

The 1967, 1968 and 1969 Corvettes, known collectively as the Silver L88 Trifecta, have been consigned to Saturday’s sale by a California collector.

With Camaro celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2017, Chevy announced that a special 2017 Camaro SS 50th Anniversary Edition will be the official pace car of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. Driving the special pace car will be motor sports legend Roger Penske who is also celebrating his 50th anniversary as a race team owner.

Chevrolet has made it plain that one of its goals with the C7 Corvette was to attract a younger fan base for its 63-year-old sports car.

Having the author of popular young adult fiction books drive a Corvette pace car at an Indianapolis Motor Speedway event might just help them achieve that goal.

Chevrolet announced this week that acclaimed author and Indiana native John Green – who wrote The New York Times No. 1 Best Seller The Fault in Our Stars that was turned into a No. 1 box office smash – will be driving a 2016 Corvette Stingray Z51 as the pace car for the Verizon IndyCar Series Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis on Saturday, May 14.

Edmunds recently posted their award winners in a survey of best retained values for 2016. These are the brands and models that have the highest projected private party residual value five years after their launch.

The Chevrolet Corvette was named as the winner in the “Best Midrange Sports Car” segment with honorable mentions going out to the Porsche Cayman and Porsche Boxster.
