Built by renowned restomod builder Jeff Hayes, the Corvette would hammer sold for $1 million, and with the buyer’s commission, the total selling price was $1.1 million. Following the sale, the announcers said it was a record auction price for a custom 1967 Corvette.
Jeff Hayes was on the stage during the sale, and he’s asked if in his wildest dreams did he see THIS happening at Barrett-Jackson, and he simply said, “Amazing!”
