Omega Tool Corp put out a video that demonstrates their ability to manufacture exterior parts and they just happened to choose the front fascia of the Corvette as their subject matter. Unfortunately, we think someone there will be getting has received a phone call from Team Corvette asking why they choose to show the still-in-development 2014 C7 Corvette’s front fascia to showcase in the video.

June 2012 Corvette Sales

Looking for some good news regarding new Corvette sales? According to GM’s June 2012 sales report released last week, Corvette sales jumped to 1,475 cars for the month, an increase of 13.5% over June 2011′s 1,299 deliveries.

This is the best sales figure we’ve had since September 2009 when 1,589 Corvettes were sold. For the calendar year, sales are up 1.8% with 7,022 Corvettes delivered between January-June 2012 compared with 6,896 Corvettes sold over the same time period in 2011.

LAKEVILLE, Conn., July 6, 2012 – Corvette Racing’s twin Compuware Corvette C6.R race cars qualified third and sixth in the GT class for Saturday’s American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. Traffic played a key role in qualifying on the tight 1.5-mile circuit, and after a red flag interrupted the 15-minute session, it came down to a two-lap shootout to determine the GT grid.

Mid America Motorworks Corvette Funfest is set for September 13-16

We’re still nursing our Bloomington Gold hangover, but it’s already time to start marking up the calendar for another big-time Corvette event. Mid America Motorworks is hosting their 19th annual Corvette Funfest at their sprawling 150 acre facility in Effingham, Illinois on September 13th – 16th, 2012. Roughly 15,000 Corvettes and 40,000 enthusiasts are expected to be present at the 4-day extravaganza.
