C4 Corvette Crashes Into Albuquerque Bread Shop

The old “I hit the accelerator instead of the brake” trick resulted in an unusual sight in Albuquerque on Monday: the rear end of a Corvette sticking out the front window.

Seems a senior citizen in her white C4 Corvette pulled that stunt as she was driving into the parking lot of the Great Harvest Bread Company on Montgomery Boulevard and Juan Tabo Boulevard N.E. in the El Dorado Square Shopping Center.

Corvette Racing fans were spoiled over the last few years with the “Track to Street” series that gave enthusiasts an upclose and personal look at the people and the cars over the course of the last two ALMS and Le Mans seasons. Hot Rod Power Tour Stops at Mid America Motorworks

The 18th annual Hot Rod Power Tour is well underway this week and yesterday, the traveling performance car show stopped at Mid America Motorworks Effingham, IL campus for a hot lunch and a one-of-a-kind car show.

Some 3,000 hot rods, including over 130 Corvettes, were making their way from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to the Gateway International Raceway on what was the 4th day of the 7 day tour that started in Detroit and ends in Arlington, Texas.
