For our next take on the all-new 2024 Corvette E-Ray, we head out west to an undisclosed location with the Queen of Speed Emelia Hartford who got her own private look at the new hybrid Corvette ahead of the reveal. In her video, she is with the Silver Flare E-Ray with the Blue interior and the exclusive Electric Blue racing stripe.
The dust has just settled on Mecum’s monster 4,000-car Kissimmee auction and we’re happy to report the collector car hobby appears to be stronger than ever. Money was flying around Florida last week faster than classified documents blowing out of Joe Biden’s garage! Seriously, though, prices were high on seemingly everything.

The Corvette Assembly Plant participated this week in the rollout of the new 2024 Corvette E-Ray by showing off the car to select outsiders that included board members and some staff at the National Corvette Museum. Mike has owned two C8 Stingrays, both a coupe and convertible, and was also a former C7 Z06 driver if I recall, so he knows his way around the Corvettes.

What do you get when you cross the C8 mid-engine’s 495-hp LT2 V8 engine plus larger tires plus a 160-hp electric motor on the front wheels for eAWD? A good time!
While the 2024 Corvette E-Ray may not be the replacement for the C8 Z06 on a proper road course, we could see the first hybrid Corvette doing pretty well on the autocross course where fast sprints, quick turns, and heavy braking all play into the E-Ray’s strengths.

655-hp Corvette E-Ray is the Quickest Corvette of Them All
Seventy years to the date of the 1953 Corvette’s public debut at the GM Motorama in New York City, Chevrolet is once again electrifying enthusiasts with the official reveal of the 2024 Corvette E-Ray. Chevy’s press release says “For its 70th birthday, Chevrolet gives the World an electrified AWD Corvette,” and it’s a gift that will be available to buyers later in 2023.
